Presbyterian Church Expands Seating and Opens Pipe Organ
The Presbyterian church completed renovations costing 4100 with a 1200 pipe organ, nearly doubling seating. A week of events included a grand organ dedication by Prof. A. H. Stoddard assisted by Mrs. Gilbert and Mr. and Mrs. Keller, plus Sunday service and a sermon on church attendance. Continuous improvements add a 24 by 30 Sunday school room, north choir room, and a basement dining area with kitchen, enlarging the main auditorium. The church was organized in 1867 and built in 1877.
