Auction Sale Draws Record Crowds in Ashton
The three week sale of the stock of dvens Moore Reed ended Saturday with the largest closing crowd in the history of the auction. Auctioneer Mr Powelson was praised for turning the immense stock into cash quickly. The closing sessions drew many visitors from afar as Ashton business life buzzed. The store will be replaced by G A Hamel and Bert Reed with a modern general merchandise stock.
