Mr David Jones and electors addressed at Oddfellows Hall Ashburton on Saturday November 31. Reports list school meetings at Lowcliffe, Rangitata, Beleteld, Hinds, and Wakanui from November 2 to 7 with gatherings at 8 pm and daily committee room access evenings from 7. Ladies invited.

A small road works crew and days allocated for minor tasks were approved. Accounts totaling £25 14s 10d were approved.
Sir Joseph Ward arrived by the second express from the south and spoke at 8 o'clock to a packed Drill Hall audience of about a thousand. The Denv Mayor Alex Frew presided with Mr T Buxton on the platform. Cheers greeted him as he defended the Government's policy and he received a hearty vote of thanks.
