Water Committee Report Debates Race Repairs and Leases

The Water Supply Committee praised progress and urged property owners to clear raceways while the council weighs widening plans and potential fines. Debates over leasing reserves by auction or tender continue, with motions to empower council decisions and to enforce lease signings. The meeting covered tree removals near the Wesleyan Church, road disturbance by stock, and bird head destruction pricing across Geraldine and Selwyn counties. The council adjourned after approving licenses and scheduling a special meeting to address nuisance issues.
