Rakata Township considers special area for higher rates
A public meeting in Rakata discussed forming a Town Board or special area to raise funds for township improvements. A committee urged more asphalting, better lighting, road grading, and fencing the railway reserve. A poll would decide rating on unimproved value, with a two thirds majority needed to form a special area and approach the Road Board.
