New Zealand Sheep Breeders Discuss Ram Fairs and Trade Names
At the North Island Branch annual meeting the council noted abuses in ram fairs including unscrupulous sale of unregistered rams, use of cat labels, and proposed legal changes to protect trade names. The balance sheet showed a credit of £917 18s and assets £353 5s 8d. The association may hold ram fairs in suitable North Island venues and opposes unregistered flocks from the South Island.
