Bell Cycle Agency and Sports Depot on Burnett Street announces sharp cuts in cycles and accessories. Storewide sale includes bicycles, helmets, and gear with limited stock and season-end discounts.
Our excellent stock is offered at special bargain rates to reduce stock before stock taking. Some items include tweed and cotton costumes priced down from 30/0 to 21/-. Ladies' overcoats in navy, brown and grey cleared at 1/11. Millinery goods and evening wear flowers also heavily reduced. Every showroom article carries a substantial reduction.
Dress Department offers steep cuts on dress materials and fabrics. 4 inch blanket tweeds for overcoats at 2/6 per yard. cream silk embroidered blouse pieces down to 2/11. black radianta blouse pieces 4/11 to 6/11. navy estamina sergh 42 inches wide at 1/6. amazon cloths 44 inches wide in navy grey brown green at 1/6. Every article substantially reduced.
Satin ribbons in colours and widths reduced from 5d to 1/9 and special 1d to 43a per yard. Net lace in White Ivory and Paris marked down from 1/- to 1/11 with specials 3d to 6d. WWABOTS and Dollars cleared to 1/11. Bows and scarves 2/3 to 1/3. Trimmings other sewing notions at bargain rates.
Catalogue from Manchester lists items and prices for towels linens pillow cases muslin blankets and curtains. It notes discounts and clearances on several goods including Swiss muslin and curtain muslin with per yard and per dozen pricing.
An advertising blurb promotes a 10 collapsible item marked as extra special in war times. It lists a usual price of 66 and a special price of 21, noting that every other article in the section is substantially reduced.
