At Addington yards, June 8, store sheep and fat stock entries were solid. Fat lambs totalled 6804 with modest price gains. sheep demand remained strong for wethers and lambs, while ewes moved slower. fat cattle, veal, store cattle and pigs showed varied demand and prices, with exporters active and general steadiness in values.
Burnsides stock market in Dunedin on June 8 reports 161 fat cattle with keen competition and firmer prices, best bulls 10 to 11 pounds and up to 13 pounds, best heifers 7 10s to 9 ds. Fat sheep 2263 penned with prices near last week, best wethers 15s to 22s, extra 18s 8d, lambs 14s to 16s, pigs softer for suckers but firmer for baconers.
