The New Zealand Shipping Company announces Royal Mail Steamers sailing to London. Details indicate regular weekly departures and partnership with Royal Mail for passenger and cargo service.
A scanned ad lists numerous parcels for sale across South Island districts including Lauriston Tinwald Lyndhurst Hinds Ealing Buccleuch Dromore Garrhill Rangitata and Westerfield. Properties range from 45 to 900 plus acres with subdivisions houses stables sheds wool sheds paddocks and wells. Some listings note improved land water access and outbuildings with several ten room or six room residences and stock yards.
