Weather disrupted sale at Geraldine County Saleyards with a very small turnout. Buyers were few but several lots sold including 20 fat wethers at 17s 3d, 24 fat lambs at 15s 7d, 61 fat wethers at 15s 7d, and 185 store lambs at 10s 3d.
Fat cattle yarded 140 with prices improving from late rates. best to £9 15s, extra to £10 17s 6d, best heifers £6 10s to £8, cows to £6 5s. Sheep yarded 22829 with prices similar to last week. best ewes 19s to 22s 6d, others lower. Fat lambs 357 yarded with best from 19s to 1s 6d, declines for medium and inferior. Pigs yarded 75 with good sorts up, inferior dull. porkers 4s to 5s per cwt, suckers 10s to 14s, stores 28s to 30s, light baconers 44s to 48s, heavy baconers 58s to 62s.
