Salting Bequeaths Art Treasure to British Nation

The late Mr George Salting leaves his entire collection of pictures, Oriental china, bronzes, and miniatures to the British nation. Valued between one and four million pounds, the bequest covers works from his rooms at the Thatched House Club and displays at South Kensington and the National Gallery.
