Auckland February 8 The annual meeting of New Zealand Insurance Company Limited held at the office. Chairman Matthew A. Clark noted a largely uneventful year with Marine Department anxiety eased by remedial measures and improvement in the Accident Department. Net premium income 605 809 pounds, losses 91 821, expenses 172 592, interest and rent near 30 000. Directors recommended a total dividend of 5s per share with 2s already paid as interim, and a 1s per share bonus. Invested assets 871 089, total assets 920 683. Proposed transfer of 25 000 to reserve fund making 220 000, plus reinsurance fund 250 000 to reach 476 000. Re-elected Messrs Carr Houghton and Myers.
