The Ashburton Acclimatisation District allows take or kill of red deer from April 1 to May 10 1921. Licenses cost five pounds issued by Ashburton Postmaster on secretary’s recommendation with up to three licenses available. Balloting decides licenses if applications exceed supply. Limitation of three stags per licensee and only stags with ten-point antlers may be killed. no hind or fawn may be taken. Ball cartridge only. no metal-patched bullets. No dogs allowed with licensee. Deer may not be sold. Tags must follow 1909 regulations and unused taps returned with an issued tally.

The Ashburton Acclimatisation Society grants licenses from April 1 to May 10 1921 for Red deer stags in the Ashburton district. Each license costs £5 and caps three stags per person, with antlers intact, no metal bullets, dogs barred, and strict deer tag rules. Breach carries fines up to £20.
