Ashburton Road Board Sets 15 MPH Speed Limit By-law
A special meeting on August 3 1918 resolved to draft a by law under the Motor Regulation Act 1908 to limit motor speeds to 15 miles per hour on Alford Forest Road Winter's Road parts of the North East Belt and North West Belt of Ashburton Town and Belt Road. The measure will be submitted for confirmation at the September 7 ordinary meeting at 11 30 am at Tancred Street offices with the proposed by law open for public inspection through September ith.
