Easton alias Wilson found guilty of breaking from custody
At Auckland Supreme Court Thomas Leonard Easton alias William Wilson was convicted of breaking from Waiotapu camp on May 10 while serving a three year term for highway robbery. A loaded revolver and thirty cartridges were found on arrest. He received two years hard labour, to run cumulatively with existing sentences. The judge noted Waiotapu inmates could roam within limits and warned escape as a serious offence.
