The passage defines who may vote and be elected to the School Committee. It covers every adult resident owner or tenant of a dwelling within the district for three months prior to the election, and the father or guardian with custody of a child attending a public school in the district, plus all householders. It excludes all others from voting or election eligibility.
Notice to elect three members for Mount Hutt Road Board at Methven Road Board Office on the Sunday of May 1921. Messrs James Carr T. S. J. Doherty W. T. P. Lock retire by ballot and are eligible for re election.
Nomination papers accompanied by a three pound cash deposit must be in the prescribed form under The Vocal Elections and Polls Act 1908. Papers are addressed to and lodged with J H A Pedder at the office before noon on Monday April 18 1921.
