The Society's workers provide accommodation food clothing boots money and other necessaries for hundreds of men ashore after ships were sunk. At authorities request they also feed prisoners of war in Germany and support families of seamen killed or disabled. They distribute books and magazines to the Naval Auxiliary Fleet and related naval services.
