Fire destroys Stratford hotel and shops at the Trocadero
A five storey building known as the Trocadero and a row of ground floor shops were consumed by fire in Stratford early today. Prebble's private hotel with about sixty rooms was destroyed. Three people suffered serious burns, including Miss Kusserson and Flora Thompson, with several others injured. Insurance estimates vary with £300 on hotel furniture and about £3000 on the building.
