Rev John F Probst, a well known Autheran divine born in Hanover Germany in 1824, died Sunday in Charleston South Carolina at 76. He led a long career from Gettysburg to South Carolina and served as a pastor and writer. survived by his widow Mrs U Probst and three children. Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Lutheran Church in Walhalla. He had spent his last years in Jacksonville Florida and was a missionary among German communities. The Daily Journal notes Bradley Beach residents can obtain it at local stores.
