In a 12 to 1 ruling the court sustained the constitutionality of the Meeker act abolishing spring elections after a conference. Judge GD W Vroom dissented. Chief Justice Depue will file the opinion in a few days. Vroom will write a dissent. The measure extends terms of elected and appointed city officials until January 1 following the original term.
