Opening Day Celebration at Ocean Grove Auditorium

Bishop J N Fitzgerald declared Ocean Grove open for the lesson as Wesley and Saturday send off forged the opening. Professor Talle B Morgan and the choral union gave a free concert in the auditorium. The Bradford trio performed instrumental pieces and a beach fireworks display followed. Sanford's Asbury Park band played on the auditorium grove and the beach as several thousand witnessed the ceremonies.

Water Meters Ready for Owners Pending Ordinance

The water department has meters on hand and the superintendent will set them for any owner who applies, pending the ordinance. Connections can be made at once, but meter charges start July 1, the new water year. The Joana for Job Printing.

Banker Dager Leaves First National for State Examiner Post

Martingy Dager, cashier of the First National Bank, will sever ties this week to accept the state bank examiner role in Trenton. He joins the State Banking and Insurance Commission under head William Mead. The shift, effective Monday, removes Dager from Anbury Park banking life but keeps Mrs. Dager active socially. Children’s Day Observed Across Churches

Robbed in Daylight at Fourth Avenue Residence

The home of Harry Duffield on Fourth Avenue was broken into Monday afternoon. A gold watch worth 50 dollars was stolen from a bureau while a money bag under a pillow was left behind. The burglar, described as a 20 year old man about 5 feet 9 inches tall, with inflamed eyes and a brown alpine hat, fled after rummaging several rooms. Herman Beringer saw a man enter the house around 5:80 o'clock. Police are seeking the suspect.

Vincentz Band to Open Beach Music Season This Saturday

Vincentz band, reengaging principal players from 1894 and 1896 Voas groups, prepares the opening concert Saturday evening on the beach. Weight Resisted Arrest Foe Wright Sentenced

Edward Wright a colored man was sentenced to ninety days in jail for drunken and disorderly conduct and begging in the streets. Magistrate Dodd ordered $200 bail for assaulting and resisting Policeman Chapman. Wright resisted Chapman during arrest on Wednesday night and a fight required assistance from Policeman Bredman.

Mrs L M Hutchinson Seriously Hurt In Carriage Accident

Mrs L M Hutchinson of New York a summer resident near Monmouth Beach was thrown from a wagon while returning from Little Silver. Aged nearly seventy she suffered a double fracture of the arm and extensive bruising and was removed to Elkwood Inn.伴
