Infant found dead on dump heap near Asbury Park

The body of a newborn white male infant was discovered yesterday on a dump heap about a mile west of Asbury Park. Italian junkman Joseph Robino found the infant wrapped in a striped shirt, placed in a tin dishpan, and notified authorities. Coroner Flock and Dr. J T Rose ruled death at birth. body removed to Sexton’s.

Sima Held on Two Charges After Robbery Attempt

Alfred Sima was taken to Freehold in default of 400 bail on two charges assault and battery on Ellwood Meyers and robbery of John H. Sparling. Sparling pursued Sima to Kate Bundy's Atkins avenue home, where Sima attacked him in the yard and fled with a silver watch purse and pocket knife. Sima faced magistrates, held to await the next grand jury with 200 bail on each count. He was also bound over for use of revolver threats against Meyers.
