Foreclosure sought on Ferris Wheel over bond debt
Chicago January 13 Foreclosure proceedings have been begun against the Ferris Wheel to collect 300000 paid to the Ferris Wheel company by the holders of 900 bonds of 1000 each. A trust deed was given on the wheel for income and patent guarantees of payment until maturity. It is alleged much interest is unpaid and bonds were not redeemed at maturity.

Counterfeiters Arrested in Newport News
In Newport News on January 13, W. Smith and Thomas Fagan were arrested for making counterfeit charters and nickels. Smith confessed, turning over the tools used to press the coins. Fagan remained silent. Arrests were by Secret Service Agent R. S. Brown of Washington and Acting Sergeant Mitchell.
