Two Men Sentenced to Eighteen Years in Murder Case
In Monmouth County a physician Dr Reuben Thompson of Long Branch and Harry J Fowler of Sea Bright were each sentenced to eighteen years in State Prison after pleading guilty to murder in the second degree. Judge J Franklin Fort called the case brutal and noted possible reductions for good behavior. Nellie and Etta White are in jail awaiting trial. Fowler is said to be father of an illegitimate child born to Etta White. the baby was killed and body found in the South Shrewsbury River.
