Chief Justice Beasley denied a new trial motion for Louis Marriott found guilty of murdering Mrs. Leonard at Atlantic Highlands. He sentenced Marriott to be hanged in the jail yard on Wednesday, April 13. His mother in Lorraine, Germany, writes that he has been insane since infancy.

The canning factory did good business, tomatoes and fruit led production, but town seeks year round employment. Capt. Bennett stayed home Monday while keeping his vessel active all winter. Capt.
