A Mad Dog Run Loose in Ocean Grove Bank Office

Fire destroys Hastings cottage in North Long Branch

Asbury Park Livery Stables Destroyed In Major Fire
A devastating fire at Harry W. Morford’s Norhamd Livery stable on Sewall Avenue, Asbury Park, destroyed the building and about thirty wagons. Seven horses were rescued. losses estimated at $10,000 with insurance expected to cover it. Firefighters battled flames while locals helped evacuate horses and nearby carriages. The blaze began in the southeastern part of the stable around 11:15 PM. the cause remains undetermined.
