Eleanor K. Lewis, aged 72, died at 81 Olin Street Dead Grove. She came to Ockda Grove Institute for health care. Undertaker Matthews will ship the remains to South Amboy for burial. The funeral is scheduled for tomorrow afternoon at 2 o clock and interment will be at West Union.
Rev. Dr. George B. Wight of the First M E Church preached last night on Prov 14 12 from In His Steps by Charles M Sheldon. He argued against following individual opinion as guidance, urging the Bible as the sole standard and critiquing the author’s mind as biased.
Attorney Charles E Cook for Policeman William Rogers will depose witnesses Wednesday in mandamus proceedings against the city. Preliminary hearings before Supreme Court Commissioner Halstead Wainwright at 9:80 am in the Appleby building. City’s answer required by 10 am next Tuesday.
