Building and Loan Association grants high premiums on offerings
At the February meeting the Building and Loan Association sold 96,000 at a 13 percent premium and 96,400 at a 12 percent premium, the highest premiums in years. Banks avoid discounting paper and builders seek funds, pushing monthly receipts to about 9 to 10 thousand dollars. Eight hundred shares have been taken in the new issue.
