The Board of Governors reported the club house mortgage increased from 3,000 to 8,500 with interest cut to five percent to liquidate stock. County Clerk Joseph McDermott honored member, arranged a $20 receipted bill. Amending by laws include chair of entertainment committee joining Board of Governors and control over indoor events and tournaments. May Clinton aged sixteen worked as an operator at Steiner's mill when a hair shaft entangled a bolt and pulled her head toward a rapidly turning shaft at 240 revolutions per minute. Her hair was torn from the roots. help from nearby workers and Dr John Taylor saved her from worse injury. She was taken to a boarding house and her parents live in Telenton. Clarence Breiner investigated and confirmed the account.

Mrs E Haleey Wilcox of Asbury Park and Ocean Grove Auxiliary has been named vascular grant superintendent of Monmouth Memorial Hospital. She also serves on the Board of Managers. A board meeting was held in Long Branch this afternoon. The hospital charity ball will be in Long Branch tomorrow night with Asbury Park attendees. A special car will carry revelers back to Asbury Park leaving Chelsea Avenue at 4 o clock tomorrow morning.

Kean Sells Meadows to Central Railroad for Plant
United States Senator John Kean approved a large sale of meadow land bounded by York Schiller and Division streets in Elizabeth New Jersey to the Central Railroad of New Jersey. The twelve acre site, partly owned by GW Wetmore and A B Carlton, will host an immense shop complex covering about fifteen acres opposite the Singer plant. The railroad plans extend tracks store cars repair locomotives and employ about 38000 workers. The project drains and dredges the area turning a mosquito breeding field into taxable revenue for the city.
