At Newark, Chancellor Pitney heard repeated testimony on the 1899 Middlesex County Bank wreck case. President Uriah B. Watson said he read a state bank commissioner letter about loans to George Valentine but gave it no weight. Valentine claimed an $11 000 loan secured by $14 000 railroad bonds.
