More than a hundred guests attended at the Inn and cottages, featuring a bicycle parade with over a hundred wheels, a park flags display, a royal purple and white color theme, a train band arrival from Squadron A, a hotel concert, a lawn party, and a 60-vehicle carriage parade ending with a dance despite light rain.

Young fisherman Joseph Hardy drowned near Bradley Beach

Tobacco dealers in Asbury Park and township circulated a petition to raise cigarette prices by one cent on five cent packs two cents on ten cent packs and three cents on fifteen cent packs. McCune and Palmateer helped prepare the petition as the American Tobacco Company pushed higher wholesale costs. A joint Asbury Park and Ocean Grove committee met to organize the Wesley Lake carnival for Saturday night. George W. Evans was chosen chairman with W. E. Bedell as secretary. A total of 400 is to be raised half from each town to fund decorations prizes and fireworks. Charles Crowell of Consolidated Fireworks will supply effects.
