She was predeceased by son Joseph and infant daughter Agnes, and survived by seven daughters across multiple states, two sons, 18 grandchildren, 52 great grandchildren, and 16 great great grandchildren.

Mother of City Resident Dies in Glendale Crash
In Glendale Mrs. August L. Travis, 71, died after being struck by a vehicle Thursday. She was mother to Howard R. Travis of Flagstaff and grandmother to two. Services set for 1 p.m. Monday at Grimshaw Brazill Whitney Chapel, burial at Resthaven Park. Mrs. Travis moved to Glendale in 1958 from Miami.

Seven-Year-Old Minibike Rider Flees Police At 50 MPH
In Rutledge Florida a seven year old, David Alan Seymour, rode a five horsepower minibike on a main road. A sheriff deputy chased him at 50 mph, he ran a stop sign and was captured. He faced charges for driving without a license, no registration tag, speeding, no lights, no inspection sticker, attempting to elude police, and running a stop sign. His parents were contacted and the boy showed signs of fear at the station.

Edward Ferguson 83 born in Norway and who moved to the United States in 1408 died Thursday at the Arizona Tuberculosis Sanatorium in Tempe. Services set for 2 pm Monday at the Holbrook Ward LDS Church with burial in Holbrook Cemetery. He came to Arizona in 1911 and ran the Navajo Hotel until retirement in January. Survived by four children Eldwood and Edward of Holbrook Robert of Las Vegas and Walter of Los Angeles. two daughters Mildred Jetson and Lillian Hewke of Los Angeles. a sister in Norway. 34 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Apache County sheriff announced the discovery of the wrecked Piper Cherokee near Haystack Flat between Neary and Springerville. The bodies of Jerry Ross and Lynn Kohn from Los Angeles were identified, found by two Apache Indian cowboys tending cattle, nearly a year after the Phoenix to Albuquerque flight vanished.
