Flagstaff Pair Arrested On Petit Theft Charge
Two young Flagstaff men, Buddy W. Noble Jr. and Robert Emerson Chadwick, were jailed on petit theft charges after allegedly removing chrome hubcaps from a 1963 Chevrolet belonging to Walter McDonald at the Starlite Bowling Lanes. Patrolman Bruce Warner said a passerby, Terry Rust, witnessed the act and alerted police. Noble’s car was parked to obscure the Chevy from view. A hearing before City Magistrate William Brady was set for today.

Mrs Kearney Rites Friday in Federated Church
Dorothy Jane Kearney who died of a heart attack while driving will be remembered Friday at 2 a.m. in the Federated Community Church with Rev. William Denlinger officiating. Burial is in Citizens Cemetery. Born August 25, 1904 in Kansas City Kansas, she was 67. She and husband J Wheeler Kearney married July 26, 1935 in Kansas City Missouri. The family operated the Kearney News Agency in Flagstaff for 30 years after moving from Los Angeles in 1941. Survived by husband two sisters a brother and four neuneries and one nephew out of state. Friends may call 5 to 8 p.m. today at Flagstaff Mortuary. Donations to the heart fund requested. Pallbearers named Orvyn Comptos Henry Bosley Karl Mangum Ed Lyons Ray Smith and W F Killip.

Two Seek Williams School Board Post
John Schulte and Dr. M Dale Parry announced candidacies for Williams School Board of Trustees for the Oct 5 election. Parry seeks the unexpired term of Mrs. Thompson, and the term runs to 1973. Parry, an osteopath and former teacher, is Utah born and moved here 15 months ago with his wife and two preschool children. Schulte, an electrical contractor and retired government employee, settled here two years ago after retiring from government service. the family includes 10 children, five of whom attend local schools.

Man Held on Check Counts at Snow Bowl Motel
Willard B. Carson, 50, of Snow Bowl Motel, Flagstaff, arrested after writing several nonsufficient funds checks to motel manager L W Lawson. The case began with a postdated $11.20 check at the Snow Bowl Motel and involved prior returned checks from a Valley National Bank branch in Phoenix. Carson was booked into City Jail and remains under investigation.
