Mrs Holly and Ralph Holly, English and dramatics professor at the college, underwent an emergency operation delaying his return for the opening of school. He has been away pursuing a doctoral degree at the University of Illinois and will meet his classes later in the week.

A 1 year old boy, Matthew Micken, who had searched for his father for a decade, learned that the man who left Superior, Wisconsin, over 25 years ago was his father Sgt. Micken, recently based at Machi Air Force Base. The father was killed Friday night in a traffic accident. The son discovered the match the next morning after checking with authorities and reading a newspaper.
J Sexson chairman of the Good Samaritan Hospital board announced a four wing to expand to a WO bed wing. Bids will be called soon and the project is valued at more than $1 million with work expected to start by November 15.
County Agent Bill Brechan estimates frost damaged about a third of 6000 acres of beans, with losses ranging from 6 to 30 percent in fields at Black Till and Coney Park. Remaining beans unripe and leafy plants were hardest hit, while grains were not short. High winds earlier damaged foliage, increasing vulnerability to frost and potential losses up to $10,000 in Teas, flokd area.
Preliminary hearing for Datson on open and notorious cohabitation was postponed to November 3 at the request of defense and county attorney's office. Datson was arrested in Show Low in May. Four of the six women alleged as wives remain free on bond awaiting cohabitation charges in Superior Court.

Cominiciacy for Plagstatt's 52 block southside paving project has set up an office and begun work on schedule. City engineer McGowney reported today with headquarters at North San Francisco near Prochnoywy News Stand. The contract is held by the Arizona Sord and Hock Company of Phoenix. Dowsey said firm officials would meet this week to discuss plans and specifications for the project covering most streets east of Sigyeaves and south of Ka Fe.
The Salvation Army Flagstaff Corps outlined an eight day drive with plans to raise 5000 dollars. A campaign committee led by Dr M G Franske will oversee events starting Monday September 22 including a door to door solicitation Thursday night September 26 and a home auction the following night. The vote down included a five cent per hour wage increase retroactive to Aug 1. Juarez said settlement moves depend on further negotiations and a conciliator's arrival is expected later this week.

Patricia McCormick a 21 year old from Spring Texas made a striking Nogales debut as a bullfighter. She killed two bulls in her first appearance with confident cape work drawing praise from experts. A crowd around four thousand, mostly tourists, watched. two male bullfighters also performed.
The Power Commission reviews a proposed El Paso Natural Gas Co expansion to add a 3176,250,000 pen ton project increasing daily delivery capacity by about 406 million cubic feet. The plan would extend the pipeline system to serve customers in Artesia, Texas, Colorado, and New Mexico with enhanced gas supply.
