Washington reports Frances Perkins plans a return to the Washington scene as a member of the Civil Service Commission. President Truman announced at a news conference that Perkins will succeed Lucille Foster McMillin on the commission. Perkins resigned from the cabinet June 30, 1945.
The Church of the Beiphany announces Sunday, September 16, 1946 service at 11 o clock only with no holy communion at 8:38. Ralph J. Holly presides, Jim Jackson delivers the address. Sunday School will meet as usual with Mrs. Charlotte and Mr. Stuart Houston J in charge of the respective departments.
