Seven Arrested In Drug Bust In Flagstaff Area
Seven persons were arrested and charged with possession and cultivation of marijuana after investigators searched three residences. Officers from the Dept. of Public Safety Flagstaff Police and the Coconino County Sheriff's Dept confiscated about 70 growing marijuana plants usable quantities and paraphernalia. Those arrested include Ken L. Piper 25 Karen D. Kelly 23 Mari Deickman 19 Shery Lam 23 Gary Harris 25 Dell Rt 2 Box 182 Jeremy Adair 21 and Lin da Stedman 20 Rt 2 Box 180. Investigators said one more person may be arrested on the same charges.

Soldier Sentenced for Knife Murder in Bisbee
PHOENIX AP A Fort Huachuca soldier Anthony Ridings 27 was sentenced to 30 to 60 years for killing Jessie Austin and 20 to 30 years for conspiracy. Superior Court Judge Sandra O Connor imposed the terms Tuesday. Ridings allegedly faced trial by the victim’s wife Sandra Austin 31 and her lover Edward Dwyer 56 who await murder trial pending an appeals ruling on overheard evidence by Bisbee telephone operators.
