The Navajo Police discuss staffing and salaries. The force covers 25 000 square miles of reservation plus 3 000 square miles of allotted or tribally owned lands. Petitioners note starting patrolman pay at 6149 dollars, sergeants at 6721 dollars, and lieutenants at 7293 dollars.
Joy Cox named executive director of the Hozhoni School and Home in Flagstaff serving all northern Arizona. She is aided by Kathy Lucy and Homnie Dearing with Ruth Ortiz and Myrl Pearce as teacher aids at Shepherd of the A’s Lutheran Church location.
