John Emil Steinbock, 48, of Flagstaff, died yesterday after a hospitalization. Born April 12 in Frederick, he lived in Flagstaff ten years, owned a local garage, and is survived by his wife, a daughter Shirley Owen of Te, a granddaughter Cheryl Lymic, seven siblings, and other relatives. Funeral Thursday at 2:20 PM at Flagstaff Mortuary chapel, burial at Flagstaff City Cemetery. Friends may visit 2ST Mortuary from five to eight PM today and tomorrow. Contributions may be made to the heart fund.
Flagstaff public schools will charge tuition next year for students not living with parents or legal guardians. The board letter sets anticipated fees of 300 dollars for elementary pupils and 450 dollars for high school students, prorated monthly and payable in advance with a one week grace period.

Page elementary rites announced for 1 p.m. Thursday in the old Page High School auditorium. Eighth graders, about 46, will receive diplomas with several already moved or having mailed copies. Four students will speak, Johnny Walden will provide music, Patty Langley reads a poem, and the class prophecy will be foretold.

A mother and three of six children were saved while father Raymond Adolphus Miller age 41 and three children drowned during a late afternoon fishing trip at Lake Marion near MAVEN Florida. The boat capsized after wind gusts swamped it, witnesses said. Five other children ages 9 7 4 6 and 2 fought to reach shore as rescuers pulled them from the water.
