Fire destroys planing mill in Siwlow area
Fire caused extensive damage at a planing mill owned by E D Renishead and I R McCorkle in Siwlow. Estimated loss ranged from 26 000 to 95 000 with lumber valued at 10 000 destroyed. About 28 workers were employed at the mill before the blaze broke out yesterday afternoon and firefighters could not control it.
