Admiral Constantine Engolopoulos, once navy chief of staff when the regime seized power in April 1967, was named among those involved.

A Flapstaff man Tommy Lee Jones aged 21 received a 90 day jail term after pleading guilty to petty theft of two power tools. He was placed on five months probation after confinement. The case stemmed from cooperation in recovering the stolen items and the felony charge was reduced to a misdemeanor. Two other men faced charges: Key Allen Casey 38 of Tuba City on drunken driving with the license suspended, bond set at 1100 dollars, and Cornelius Mines 38 of Winslow arraigned on felony possession of marihuana for sale. Indigent status led the court to appoint counsel for both Casey and Hines. A preliminary hearing dates will be set.
Funeral services for George Eugene Hancock aged 69 were held today. Burial followed at Echo View Cemetery. He died Tuesday in Winslow Memorial Hospital and was a native of Taylor who moved to town in 1927 to work in construction. Survived by wife Edora of Winslow, three sons Harry Hal and Dale all of Winslow, 14 grandchildren, a sister Mrs Nelson of Farmington. Hy Scott Mortuary in charge.

Apollo to fly three astronauts to rendezvous 272 miles above earth aboard Saturn V with launch at 9 a.m. EDT Friday. If a sun shield is raised, astronauts Conrad Kerwin and Weitz may complete a two day mission aboard the lab.
The Window Rock School District voters approved allowing the school board to exceed the six percent budget increase limit. In contrast, the Associated Press notes attempts to raise school budgets in another Arizona district met with opposite results.
