Death of Robert Alan Baker at San Francisco Peaks
A detailed account of the murder of 20 year old Robert Alan Baker near the western base of the San Francisco Peaks. Two men abducted him at his remote service station The Last Resort and killed him with a pistol and shotgun blast. Investigators from the Coconino County Sheriff Office and the Flagstaff area police traced the two suspects, identifying them through witnesses and a driver's license. Two men have pleaded guilty and received prison terms for related charges. Continued on page 12.

Slayers Sent to Prison in Flagstaff Murder Case
William McCallister Jr. and Leonard McFord received prison terms after pleading guilty to first and second degree murder in the August 18 1975 killing of service station attendant Robert Baker near Flagstaff.
