Narcotics Probers Hear 152 Known Addicts in State

Arizona narcotics investigators report 152 known addicts in the state as of an ongoing public hearing by the State Senate Committee on Narcotics. Fran Sojet testified that 382 are known to be addicted to habit forming narcotics, excluding marijuana and certain barbiturates. He noted Arizona’s role as a source for Mexican border supply and that eight border narcotics agents work with Customs. The hearing, led by State Sen. Robert Prachnow, is part of preparations for the spring legislative session.

Laos Conference Opens Amid Western Soviet Delays

Planning Zoning Unit to Hear Four Public Sessions
