Congress Asked To Speed Upper Colorado Units

Washington AP says Western state spokesmen urged Congress to accelerate constriction of the Upper Colorado River Storage Project. Colorado’s Guy Mc Nichols told a House Appropriations subcommittee governors of other states back the $1 billion dam and water supply project across Colorado Wyoming Utah and New Mexico. U S Queries Red Chief on U S Airmen

Washington reports say Nikita Khrushchev was asked about 11 American airmen missing since a C 130 transport was shot down near Armenia last September. Saline Water Plant Sites Down to 26

Washington AP reports competition for five salt water conversion plants has drawn 143 proposed sites across 26 states. A. L. Miller of the Federal Saline Water Office issued the figures in a letter to Senator James E. Murray who chairs the Senate Interior Committee. Landscaping Demonstration Set Thursday

A landscaping demonstration will be held this Thursday at 1:30 p.m. in Greenlaw Subdivision Flagstaff for new homeowners.
