Wire and wire fragments tied to airliner crash turn up debris

Wilmington police and investigators recovered wire and a fragment of brass from the aircraft wreck near Kurs Beach. A battery fragment and a leg-hone piece attached to trousers were found on a haymaker across from the scene. The body of Frank was found with wounds on the right side of the plane.

The Coconino County Recorder lists warranty and quit claim deeds including William P Monahan et ux to Olen J Baker et ts and Leslie Wyatt et us to Rita F Prentice, plus a First Baptist Church of Flagstaff quit claim. Flag Resident's Sister Buried in Texas Burial

Mrs. J B Kirby, sister of Mrs. Bledsoe, died Friday in Casa Grande after living there four years with her daughter Mrs. Travis Howard Hough. Funeral services were held in Casa Grande and the body shipped to Shepperd Texas for burial. survivors include son Phil Kirby of Houston.

Typewriter collection reflects veteran professor’s career at ASU

OES Honors Past Matrons and Iris Show Plans

Twenty five past matrons and twenty five past patrons of Ruby Chapter No 4 Order of Eastern Star were honored at the March 18 meeting in the Masonic Temple. Gifts were given as they were introduced. The group set plans for a spring iris show with co chairs Chester Dynes and Mildred Warable. Dr Agnes Allen of ASC presented garden slides and Charles Sechrist of Flagstaff spoke on landscaping for easy upkeep.

Kin of Plane Dead Gather For Rites

Relatives of 63 victims gathered for a memorial service in Tell City as health officials considered whether to search a crater where the Northwest Airlines Elev turboprop crash victims’ bodies were buried. Four caskets representing Protestant, Catholic, Jewish and Shinto faiths were to be interred at the Northwest memorial plot in Tell City Cemetery. Ministers from each faith were to conduct the services.

Mental Health Drive Aids Flagstaff Youth Services

A local survey by the American Association of University Women identifies a need for school psychologists and better mental health facilities in Flagstaff. Congress Told Administration Studied Health Plan for Aged

Secretary Arthur Flemming testified that the administration has studied a program where federal and state governments would cover the major cost of health insurance for the aged. No final decision was reached on how to structure medical care for seniors, with emphasis on states bearing a fair share of the burden. The remarks were delivered to the House Ways and Means Committee in a public portion of a closed session. The committee is weighing broad changes to the Social Security program.

The Northern Arizona Symphony led by Vernon Kilcner of Arizona State College will demonstrate clavinet English horn and trumpet at a Youth Concert in the college auditorium Sunday March 27 at 4 pm.
