Three Pay Board Members Resign From Labor Group
Washington AP three AFL-CIO members of President Nixon's Pay Board resigned, saying they could no longer cooperate in a program they viewed as slanted against workers. The AFL-CIO executive council voted to withdraw George Meany, LW Abel, and Floyd Smith from the 15 member Pay Board. Meany sought to persuade two other labor members to quit. Teamsters were two of the remaining labor members, while Frank Fitzsimmons and Leonard Woodcock, heads of unions outside AFL-CIO, did not attend the AFL-CIO press event today.

Contractor Files Innocent Plea To Charge of Storing Dynamite
Flagstaff contractor Kasper Gantenbein entered an innocent plea through attorney Richard K. Mangum to charges of storing dynamite in the city limits. The case, set for trial, stems from a March 14 discovery of a dynamite track in Pine Crest. The dynamite truck had remained parked for some time and had deteriorated into nearly pure nitroglycerin.

Longtime Area Resident Mary C Stevenson Dies in California
Mary Clark Stevenson widow of a former vice president of what is now Northern Arizona University and former Williams schools superintendent died in Bellflower California late Tuesday. She was 31 and had lived in California three years with a heart seizure a week before death. Survivors include two daughters Mrs Marshall Sutherland Flagstaff and Dr Charlotte Stevenson Bellflower a brother Lynn Clark Decatur two grandchildren two great grandchildren two nieces and one nephew. Funeral and burial arrangements are pending. Stevenson was active in the Federation of Womens Clubs and supported the musical division of the group during her many Northern Arizona years.
