Peyote Trial Continues With Expert On Drug Effects

Prosecutors sought to bring in a Navajo witness Dan Chee to testify.

Fredonia local man Winfield Littleman 37 was found dead outside his trailer Thursday. Justice Erma Sue Jensen will await autopsy results in Flagstaff before ruling. Littleman worked for a local rancher and resided with his wife Betty on the premises.

Wheeler Joins Interstate Stream Commission

Tragic Fall Ends Winslow Childs Grand Falls Outing
A 13 year old Winslow boy, Richard Baker, died after slipping from a canyon edge during a church outing near Grand Falls. He fell about 135 feet after tumbling along an outcropping. Donald Cribbs, 14, reported wind and witnessed the fall. Deputies arrived about 7:30 p.m. and attempted artificial respiration but were unsuccessful. The party included the boy’s mother and other youths.

Forest Crews Contain Blaze Near Old Bell Springs
About 20 acres of mostly grass land burned Sunday in a man caused fire on the Old Bell Springs burn area south of A Mountain. High winds fanned the flames but a five man crew using a bulldozer and two 250 gallon pumping trucks contained the blaze to about 20 acres. Investigation was underway to determine the exact cause, the fourth fire this year on the Coconino.

New York City sources report BVD Garment Manufacturing Co officials reluctant to confirm a possible closure of the BYD Factory in Winslow Arex by June 30.
