Riders gather March 24 at Moqui Ranch 37 miles south of Winslow off Highway 187. main ride starts 9 a.m. March 25 from Mac's Crossing, along Clear Creek to Kinder Crossing, then back. J Peery Francis Services Monday
Funeral services for former Coconino County Sheriff J Peery Francis are set for 2 p.m. Monday at Flagstaff Federated Community Church officiated by Rev Tom Duggan. Francis, sheriff 1941 to 1955, died Friday at his Camp Verde home at age 70. Friends may call Sunday at Flagstaff Mortuary 4 to 7 p.m. Pallbearers include former FBI agent John Dutly and several former Coconino deputies. He is survived by wife Vera, son John Peery Jr, a grandson and granddaughter, two brothers, a sister, and donations to the American Cancer Society are requested in lieu of flowers. Burial in Flagstaff Citizens' Cemetery.

George L Peterson 59 longtime valley water well driller died Wednesday in Mesa Lutheran Hospital. Services were held at Gibbons Mortuary and burial followed at Mesa Cemetery. Survived by wife Jean two sons Peter L Peterson of Mesa and Paul Peterson of Kansas City two daughters Linda Peterson of Provo Utah and Mrs Jerry Johnnson of Mesa mother Mrs Flora B Peterson sister Mrs Jessie Yagr of Mesa sister Mrs June Shiver of Yuma and Mrs Ogilvie of Flagstaff two stepsons and nine grandchildren.
