Ester G Tissaw Dies in Flagstaff Hospital
Ester G. Tissaw 77 a Flagstaff native died early today after a lingering illness in Flagstaff Community Hospital. Born December 29 1893 she lived here all her life and was a member of the Eastern Star and Rebekah Lodge. Survived by husband former County Supervisor Joe Tissaw Sr a son Tom a daughter June Heek nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Services are pending at Flagstaff Mortuary.

Frank C. Costigan, long the public face of Flagstaff firefighters during their 1970 strike, announces he is leaving the department to join Powering Off Co. in Los Angeles. He will relocate with wife Iris and their son Chris after April 1, ending seven years in firefighting and his public role in fire prevention and union leadership.
