New Community Forest Towne Planned Near Paper Mill

Snowblane reports a new community near Southwest Forest Industries new $32 million pulp and paper mill on Highway 277 between He ber and Snowflake. A 40 acre core site will expand with 280 more acres in 40 acre parcels as the industrial complex grows. Five acres of a 10 acre trailer park near completion. 25 of 34 spaces filled by mill employees. O Malley Lumber Phoenix to offer medium wired domes with 100 percent financing and payments as low as 50 dollars per month. Forest Towne lies northeast of the mill, which has produced Craft paper and newsprint since last fall and added a bag plant now in production.

Flag Pioneer Fratitis dies at 86 in Phoenix

Mrs. Joe Fratitis a Flagstaff pioneer dies in Valley of the Sun Nursing Home in Phoenix. Funeral Thursday at 2 p.m. at Flagstaff Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Ron Roberts officiating. Burial in Citizens cemetery Loud Fellows section. Survived by three sons Dan Willington and J Peery Francis and daughter Mrs Mary Bavers, plus three grandchildren. She came to Arizona in 1915 with her cattleman husband and lived in Phoenix 14 years.

Flagstaff High Hitties Six Students At All-State Camp

Six Flagstaff High School students were chosen to represent the school at the 1992 All-State music camp at ASU Tempe. Soprano Susan Lee, alto Mary Gibson, and tenor Howard Clark join violinist Batty Cosseboom, cellist John Hall, and clarinetist Grant Wolf in the chorus, orchestra, and band respectively. Public notices include Junior Red Cross fund drives to aid eye care access, with Merit finalists Donna Davis and Dick Lloyd among top scorers. The paper notes student involvement in reorganizing cheerleader elections after a recent Student Council vote.
