Flagstaff voters head to the polls Tuesday to elect a city mayor and four council terms while deciding the 40 hour work week issue for the Playstaff Fire Department. City Clerk Linda Buller cites 11,720 eligible voters with turnout possibly setting a city record. Polls will open 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. at four precincts.

Internationally acclaimed singing group Up With People based in Tucson will perform in Flagstaff Tuesday night as part of a statewide Arizona tour. The 7 40 p.m. show at Northern Arizona University Ardrey Music Hall is co sponsored by the Arizona Daily Sun and Valley National Bank with tickets 4 for adults and 2 for students and children. Proceeds benefit the Flagstaff Summer Festival. The Flagstaff cast of 150 will arrive tonight and stay with host families. the entire troupe totals 450, divided into nine units for the schedule. The Tuesday show features a medley of original international songs in a two hour performance.
